Activity
Likes, comments, replies, friend requests and joins in one list on the Activity tab, with filters.
Since build 10
Everything friends did with your shots and your comments, in one list, newest first: likes, vibes, comments, replies, hearts on your comments, friend requests, and people who joined with your invite. If you missed a notification, it's still here.
Opening it
Activity is its own tab since build 15, the bell in the tab bar, second from the right (until then the bell at the top of the Home tab opened it). A small dot on the bell means something is new since you last looked. Coming to Activity counts everything up to then as seen, so the dot goes; the rows that were new this time keep a small dot until you come back. A friend request still waiting also puts a dot on the Friends tab.
The rows
Each row has the person's face and name, how long ago, what happened, and the shot's thumbnail on the right when it's about a shot:
- liked your shot, or their vibe and on your shot
- commented, with what they wrote; commented with a photo or commented with a GIF when they attached one (build 15), then its caption if it has one
- replied to your comment, with their reply (also "with a photo" or "with a GIF")
- liked your comment, with your comment, or another emoji and reacted to your comment (build 15)
- asked to be your friend, with an Accept button right there
- accepted your friend request
- joined with your invite
Tap a row about a shot to open it in the viewer (a comment, a reply or a heart on a comment opens it with the comments up). Tap any other row to open the person's profile.
The filters at the top narrow it down: All, Comments (comments and replies), Likes (likes, vibes and reactions on comments) and Requests (requests, accepted requests and joins). Pull down to refresh; older rows load as you scroll.
Notifications (build 19)
A like, a comment or a reply waits 15 minutes before its notification, so a few at once come as one, and quiet hours hold it longer; Activity shows it at once. Since the server change that came with build 19 (it reaches every build at once), what you already saw in Activity doesn't come again as a notification: it counts only what came after you last opened Activity, names the first of those people and opens that shot. When nothing is left, no notification comes. In build 19, opening Activity also clears its own notifications (likes, comments and replies) from the phone's list; a friend's shared shot, an Instant, a shared roll or a download stays until you open it. While Activity is open it catches up by itself, when you come back to Durpin or a like, comment or reply notification arrives, and that counts as opening it: the new rows show, and their notifications go too.
A friend's shared shots work the same way with the viewer: the notification counts only the shots you haven't seen yet, opens the first of those, and doesn't come when you've seen them all.
What it leaves out
- Anything older than the last 30 days.
- Anything you did yourself.
- Anyone you've blocked, and accounts on their way out.
- Private and deleted shots: only what friends can see. A reply or a heart on a friend's shot shows only while you can still see that shot.
- Nothing new is stored about what people did: the list is made from the likes, comments and friendships themselves, so an undone like or a deleted comment leaves it by itself.
